When we are faced with a decision, God should be the first One we go to. The Israelites got themselves in a bind because they relied on their own logic instead of asking God. Based on that, they made an oath in God's name and they couldn't break it.

How good are you at keeping your commitments and making sure that your words and your name mean something? Do you give God's name the respect and honor it deserves? Are you careful not to do anything to taint His name?

Pray without ceasing. Learn to hear God's answers to you.
