00:00:00: Hello everyone and welcome to the Live Through Jesus podcast with Courtney Gilmore.

00:00:05: On this episode, An Unrepentant Heart!

00:00:08: This is The First Part of First Kings Fourteen.

00:00:18: If you have kids...you know that they're not perfect And You don't even expect them To be..You know They are going to mess up....You Know their gonna do things That Their Not supposed to Do.

00:00:29: So what you really expect from Them Is just listen to you.

00:00:33: When you tell them to stop Stop and when you tell them, You don't want him to do that then they Don't do that anymore or at least.

00:00:40: They try.

00:00:40: not too right?

00:00:41: That's really all we ask of them.

00:00:43: And it's the exact same thing for us.

00:00:45: with God.

00:00:46: We are his children that he knows Are NOT going to always Do everything right.

00:00:52: He doesn't expect Us To be perfect.

00:00:54: All he expects Us to do is listen When he corrects Us and Whenever he Says don't do That Try Not to do That.

00:01:03: and that's really all he asks of us.

00:01:06: And so if you remember last week... or the last two weeks, we've been talking about Jeroboam and how he is the king of The Northern Kingdom but he's afraid of losing this kingdom.

00:01:20: And since he so afraid that He was going to lose the kingdom...he decided make up his own worship system where people would never have go into South and do anything....to worship God..or Do Anything Else!

00:01:33: Maybe That Would Keep Them from wanting To Be Part Of That Kingdom Ever Again.

00:01:38: And that's what we studied a couple of weeks ago, and then last week there was a prophet came to him while he is at the altar this makeshift worship center.

00:01:50: This prophet curses the alter right in front of him basically saying his entire system is illegitimate but doesn't change anything.

00:01:59: This at the end of chapter of Chapter thirteen.

00:02:03: it tells us that he continued to do evil in the sight Of The Lord.

00:02:08: He did not change anything.

00:02:09: That, he was doing even after the prophet came and warned him And so now The consequences are extending to his family.

00:02:20: It's not just that.

00:02:21: this prophet is coming and prophesying That something is going to happen far in the future.

00:02:27: right now Jeroboam, Is going to pay a consequence?

00:02:30: And so his son Abijah gets sick and Jerobal wants To know what's gonna happen to His Son.

00:02:38: but he can't go to God himself.

00:02:41: He's afraid or whatever, and so...he can't Go To God for Himself!

00:02:46: He doesn't want to go to the Prophet For

00:02:48: Himself!!

00:02:49: And So he sends his wife back to The Prophet that um told him That he was going to be the king in the first place But he won't even let her go as herself..He makes Her wear a disguise because he Doesn't Want for, you know anybody to be associated with the man of God.

00:03:08: He doesn't want to be and he doesn't his wife-to-be but also wants to know what's gonna happen.

00:03:13: And so he sends her With some honey and some cakes and things like that...and says go to Abijah ask him What is going to happened to my son?

00:03:25: Now I said Abijah But His name is Ahesia.

00:03:29: The sons' names are Abijah And the prophet's name is Ahesia, so it gets confusing.

00:03:37: But he sends him to the Prophet Ahesha and It says that Aheshah eyes are getting bad He's getting old...and So God comes to Him beforehand..And He Says hey Jeroboam's wife Is about To come to you and she's gonna ask You About their son but She's Gonna be in Disguise when your not going to know its her!

00:03:56: I want you to Know That Its Her Who coming to you & i Want you to deliver this message.

00:04:01: And so whenever she knocks on his door, he says yes, Jeroboam's wife.

00:04:06: What do you need?

00:04:07: Why did You come to me in disguise by the

00:04:09: way?".

00:04:10: and So He is letting her know right away that God has already talked.

00:04:15: And so this way she knows that if God has already told him who he is, then whatever He tells her about his son will also be correct.

00:04:29: Then She tells Him to deliver a specific message for Her husband.

00:04:39: that this is what God says, because I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over my people Israel.

00:04:48: And I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to You.

00:04:52: yet You haven't been like My servant David who kept My commands and followed Me with his whole heart To do all That was right in My sight.

00:05:01: You have done more evil than all who were before you, and he isn't just holding him to David's standard.

00:05:16: He says, you know it had been nice if you'd have been even remotely close to David.

00:05:21: I took the whole kingdom away from his family or at least most of it and gave it to you...and you're not worthy of this Kingdom that i took from him because he was a worthy king!

00:05:31: And not only are you not even close to Him ...you know?

00:05:35: You're not living up to His standard but your'e the worst King we've ever had....You've done more evil than all kings before.

00:05:43: So, now I'm going to bring disaster on your house.

00:05:49: And i am going to eliminate from Jeroboam every male person slave and free.

00:05:56: so all of you servants or sons...and will make a clean sweep just as one sweeps away the dung until it's gone!

00:06:05: So he is saying..I AM GOING TO GET RID OF EVERY SINGLE SPECK OF YOU just like you would manure, because you don't want a tiny little speck to be left.

00:06:16: Because it'll stink up the whole place.

00:06:18: and he's like that what your family is doing?

00:06:20: You are stinking at this entire nation...you're corrupting the entire nation!

00:06:25: And so I don't any trace of you

00:06:27: here.".

00:06:28: Then He says if anyone dies in the city then they will eat by dogs or birds.

00:06:37: The reason He said that was um he's saying even in death you will have no honor.

00:06:44: You know if you think about it today, Even the worst people that you know... If you go to their funeral ...you don't hear anything bad about them right?

00:06:52: Everybody talks good about people after they're gone and you just don't want a disrespect of the dead.

00:06:59: And so It is always The practice That you say the Good things whenever your at there Funeral ..and He's saying.. Even when you are Dead people aren't gonna feel sorry enough for you to treat you with honor.

00:07:13: You're going die and your just not even buried, nobody's ever doing the honor of burying much less saying something good about you at your burial.

00:07:24: And then he goes on to say in verse fourteen, Moreover the Lord will raise up for himself a king over Israel who will eliminate The house of Jeroboam.

00:07:34: and so this man Who wipes out?

00:07:37: The Jerobos family is going To take over the throne.

00:07:41: He's Going to kill all Of them and Then Take the Throne For Himself.

00:07:46: and Then he Tells her.

00:07:48: he Says and This son of yours As soon as you step foot in the city, he's gonna die.

00:07:55: But I did find some good in him and so He will be mourned.

00:08:00: And this probably tells us that pretty young.

00:08:06: He's innocent, he doesn't...he's not held accountable like the adults you know we know is not an adult son and must be under their care in.

00:08:15: God does hold him responsible for the way that the rest of people in Jeroboam family are acting.

00:08:22: then goes on to say but it's not just going to affect your house this affects all Israel.

00:08:31: verse fifteen says And so because of this, he says Israel is like a reed swaying in the water.

00:09:02: They're wishy-washy, they don't have a firm foundation and eventually this idolatry is going to lead them away from their land just like it led them away for me.

00:09:16: And I'm gonna let him go!

00:09:18: I'm going to let their enemies come and take them way beyond the Euphrates River, And they're gonna scatter them all over the place.

00:09:26: because if They don't want to worship me.

00:09:27: And they wanna worship there The idols that other nations worship then they can go live under those Other Nations laws Because i have given Them this wonderful land and they Don't appreciate it and they don't Want To Live in my kingdom.

00:09:41: you know This was supposed to be one nation Under God?

00:09:46: And so if you don't want to live that way anymore, then your idolatry is not just going to lead you away from me.

00:09:52: It's gonna leave you away form this land.

00:09:54: I'm going to give you up To those people and you know That's what Moses told the people would happen.

00:10:00: also He said If you obey the Lord You'll get to stay in the Land.

00:10:02: if you Don't obey The Lord Eventually Your Idolatry Is Going to Take you Away From This Land Into Foreign Lands Where They Worship Other Gods?

00:10:12: can see how you like living under their rules.

00:10:18: And then after that, he tells Jeroboam's wife everything is going to happen.

00:10:24: Then she goes home and everything happens as he says.

00:10:27: As soon as she steps foot in the house The son dies.

00:10:30: Israel mourns him.

00:10:31: He's buried.

00:10:32: Now it also does say this house was in Terza which last we heard had a capital city of Shechem apparently moved.

00:10:42: now This is about seven miles northeast where now the royal palace is.

00:10:50: And so, Jeroboam's sin invited God's judgment and took him far away from God... ...and then whenever the judgement came he was so far way from God that He couldn't even approach Him!

00:11:04: He could not even approach God's representative—His Prophet—He had to send His wife….

00:11:11: …and when He sent his wife He sent her into skies.

00:11:14: he just couldn't face any of it, right?

00:11:17: And this is a perfect picture Of an unrepentant heart.

00:11:22: An unrepented heart hides.

00:11:24: We convince ourselves that we're hiding because were ashamed.

00:11:28: I'm sure that's what he was saying, but that is not true.

00:11:31: and we know it isn't true because He didn't change His ways.

00:11:35: If He was repentant then He would have done everything That He could to make It right!

00:11:43: He at least stopped doing the things God had told Him Not To do But He did'nt Do that And He also wasn't doing Because He wanted to escape the consequences.

00:11:55: The consequences had already come for him, you know his son was already sick and he didn't send this wife and say tell God that I'll do what He wants.

00:12:03: now please save my son.

00:12:04: He didn't do any of that.

00:12:06: so he had an unrepentant heart.

00:12:08: And This is what people with unrepented hearts Do they hide?

00:12:13: They have from god...they Have From Gods People Anyone that's associated with them.

00:12:18: and they hide from everybody else too.

00:12:21: It's like he was hiding his wife identity, And thats what we do.

00:12:26: We tell ourselves you know we're not doing anything wrong, but we hide who we really are.

00:12:33: We disguise ourselves to the world and make them think that we do everything right or a different person... But none of this makes us another person!

00:12:43: None of it hides our sin nor takes away our consequences.

00:12:47: All he does is just take us further from God where we can't approach him.

00:12:54: Because we could go to him and we can approach them if We were repented.

00:12:59: he would be willing for that.

00:13:01: think about a parent parent wants you to come To them doesn't want it to be where?

00:13:07: You just keep on doing the wrong thing because you don't wanna Come in say hey mess up, but I'm gonna do different.

00:13:15: You know.

00:13:16: And so God compared Jeroboam to David.

00:13:23: He wasn't comparing him to David because David was sinless, right?

00:13:27: Because David Was covetous and he committed adultery.

00:13:31: any committed murder.

00:13:33: And so That wasn't what God expected of Jeroboam.

00:13:37: also David faced consequences.

00:13:40: So it's not like Because David was repentant.

00:13:45: He didn't face consequences.

00:13:46: his son also died.

00:13:48: His son died that he had conceived in this adulterous relationship, but then after his sons death it was over.

00:13:58: The debt has been paid the sin is washed away...the barrier between him and God was gone!

00:14:04: And He's heart was open now....and He was free to follow God with an open clean whole heart.

00:14:12: So THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO.

00:14:15: David had sin and he had consequences, but his consequences satisfied the sin that he had committed because He was repentant.

00:14:28: And Jeroboam's consequences did not satisfy that debt because he had no repentant heart.

00:14:36: He was continuing to do the same thing over and over again, and God took David's sins and put them away from him.

00:14:49: That son is gone, but I'm going to allow you and Bathsheba have another son.

00:14:54: And that son became the king after David died!

00:14:58: So God restored everything...and it was all because David was repentant.

00:15:04: David asked for forgiveness....and God gave him.

00:15:07: It didn't mean he took all of his consequences away..but once the consequence had been served then he's like now its over.

00:15:15: Now we're going to move on.

00:15:16: That's the way it is supposed be with a child and parent, you know?

00:15:19: We are not suppose to hold against.

00:15:21: our kids were supposed get onto them then were supposed to move one.

00:15:24: Were gonna say its over & done.

00:15:27: now we can move on do right from now-on.

00:15:31: what when they get upset with their kids is when there resistant towards that whenever they turn away form us I don't care what your tell me i'm doing It doesn't have any effect.

00:15:46: They're like, I don't care!

00:15:47: i'm still gonna do

00:15:47: it.".

00:15:48: That is an unrepentant heart.

00:15:51: and when you are that then...that's one.

00:15:55: we've got a problem right?

00:15:57: And thats the same way with God..and so David debt was paid and his sin was wiped away.

00:16:04: this barrier was gone between him and god and Jeroboam could of done exact thing but he didn't want to.

00:16:13: That was the whole thing.

00:16:14: It wasn't because he was ashamed, it's because he didn't want to change his ways.

00:16:19: He wanted to do what he wanted to Do?

00:16:22: He wanted To live in His kingdom and not in God's Kingdom And The problem with that is that his kingdom Wasn't going to last and god Was gonna take it away forever!

00:16:33: So our sin separates us from God and invites his judgment In an unrepentant heart Makes us hide.

00:16:43: It makes us hide from God, it makes us Hide From everybody that's associated with God and it makes Us hide from the world...it makes The kind of people That say I don't do things wrong.

00:16:54: look at me.

00:16:54: i'm a good person..I Do everything right?

00:16:57: And thats complete lie.

00:16:59: We're living a lie every day if Thats the situation we are in And none of this takes away our sin.

00:17:07: None of these take away consequences and none makes us the person that we're pretending to be, doesn't change at all!

00:17:14: All it does is take a further way from God damage relationship with him.

00:17:21: We can sit here all day saying I don't want say anything because i'm ashamed but if you are shamed will be repentant You'll change your ways in very least.

00:17:33: In first John one nine, it says that if we confess our sins then he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

00:17:45: Jesus paid our debt and He wiped away our sins.

00:17:49: And If We Will Acknowledge That We Are Sinners And Not Walk Around And Act Like We're Not And Pretend We'Re a Different Person and that we will say, you know I need a savior.

00:17:59: i need someone to take these sins away from me...I NEED SOMEONE TO PAY MY DEBT AND WE'LL RELY ON HIM FOR THAT.

00:18:05: THEN WE'Ll BE FREE FROM ALL OF THE SHADOW of this sin thats looming over our lives.

00:18:13: Colossians two thirteen and fourteen says You being dead in your trespasses And In the Uncircumcision Of Your Flesh.

00:18:23: He Has Made Alive Together With Him Having forgiven you all the trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us which was contrary to us and he's taken it out-of-the way.

00:18:39: Whenever they would nail people to the cross, They would write their crime on a cross and then they'd nail it there.

00:18:47: And he's saying that our sins were written and nailed to the Cross of Jesus To say that He paid for them...to say That HE'S THE ONE THAT DID HIM AND HE'S The one who got punished for them.

00:19:00: and THEN THEY'RE GONE.

00:19:01: Then he wipes away that handwriting and says, these no longer exist because the dead has been paid.

00:19:10: In first Peter two twenty-four it says who himself bore our sins in his own body on a tree?

00:19:16: That we having died to sins might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.

00:19:24: So We gave Jesus Our Sins And He Died For Those And He Gave Us His Righteousness.

00:19:31: This is the situation that we're in.

00:19:33: That's why God can say debt paid, now you're righteous because of Jesus.

00:19:40: Romans ten nine to ten says if you confess with your mouth that jesus Is lord and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead You will be saved.

00:19:50: for what?

00:19:50: The heart one believes unto righteousness And with a mouth confession is made under salvation.

00:19:57: and so once We admit that we aren't, you know this perfect person.

00:20:05: That we do things wrong and then need a savior Then he will take our sins And pay out debt and wipe them away.

00:20:14: We are free from the sin Free to walk with God Without any barrier between us.

00:20:22: Ephesians two fourteen says that he breaks down the middle wall of separation and puts to death The enmity, but there was between us.

00:20:29: You know We're acting as enemies of him when we're doing the things that are going against him And he takes all of that away.

00:20:39: And then we're free to follow him with our whole heart because he's uncovered.

00:20:44: Our hearts.

00:20:44: now it's open.

00:20:46: Now there is no barrier anymore, and I will put my laws in their hearts.

00:21:08: Deuteronomy thirty six says the Lord your God will circumcise Your heart and The Heart of Your descendants to love the Lord, your god with all.

00:21:16: Your heart And With All You're soul that you may live.

00:21:20: Circumcision cuts away the thing That covers?

00:21:26: It says that he uncovers our heart so we can walk freely with him.

00:21:30: He cleanses it, so that we no longer have the barrier of sin between us and Him—he cuts it away…and now we're able to follow Him with all hearts!

00:21:42: But if we refuse to repent —and choose live in Our own Kingdom instead living in God's kingdom or making Him our King, then one day Our kingdom is going to be gone and then we won't have a chance to live in his Kingdom anymore.

00:22:01: And so, We need go him.

00:22:05: make Him the Lord of our lives before it's too late.

00:22:10: Luke nine twenty three to twenty five says If anyone desires come after me this Jesus speaking.

00:22:17: Then let him deny himself.

00:22:19: take up His cross daily.

00:22:21: follow Me.

00:22:22: that means die your own desires For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but who ever loses is life for my sake.

00:22:31: We'll say that for what does a prophet of man?

00:22:34: To gain the whole world and loose his soul.

00:22:38: So doesn't matter What you get in this life if you don't have that relationship with God If he has not the Lord of your life if You are in charge Of Your own Life then you're The king of It you're the lord of it And Then that kingdom is going to be gone at some point, so we need to make God the Lord of our lives.

00:22:59: Romans two five-to ten says in accordance with the hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourselves.

00:23:09: wrath In The Day Of Wrath And revelation of the righteous judgment who will render to each one according his deeds, eternal life to those whom by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory honor and immortality.

00:23:27: But To Those Who Are Self-Seeking And Don't Obey The Truth but Obey Unrighteousness Indignation And Wrath Tribulation An Anguish On Every Soul Of Man Who Does Evil The Jew First And Then The Greek.

00:23:43: but glory, honor and peace to everyone who works what is good.

00:23:50: And so if we resist God...if we lie ...and say were a different person the kind of person that's perfect..that doesn't sin ..that doesn' t need a savior then we will die in those sins....And they'll constantly be a barrier between us & The Lord.....and We Will Never Be Able To Live In His Kingdom.

00:24:10: But...... Even as Christians, even the people who have said I know that I'm a sinner and tell God we want to make Him our Lord.

00:24:23: Even for us if we don't remain sensitive to his warnings and if we turn away from him, then that's going.

00:24:57: So it's not saying that, you know we're losing our salvation.

00:25:03: It is just saying that were loosing the relationship...that sin has become a barrier between us and God..it can't be torn back down but we have to pay attention.

00:25:17: doing what we want to do may feel like freedom at first, but it's not.

00:25:21: It's slavery to sin!

00:25:22: We are either doing what you know obeying that desire within ourselves or we're obeying God and neither one is bondage...but it would be better to be in bondage to god than to be imbodaged.

00:25:37: our sins if ever lived a state of sin eventually just feel horrible.

00:25:46: You know, it doesn't feel like freedom if you've ever been in that situation.

00:25:50: It does not feel like Freedom...it feels Like you can't get out from under it and so That is not a situation that we want to be in.

00:25:59: Romans six twelve To twenty three talks about this And it says do not let sin reign In your mortal body that you should obey it in its lusts.

00:26:09: Do not present Your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead and your members, as instruments of righteousness.

00:26:20: To God first.

00:26:22: sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law But under grace.

00:26:29: what then?

00:26:30: Shall we send because were no longer under the Law but under Grace?

00:26:33: certainly Not.

00:26:35: so is saying well if god's gonna forgive us Then can't We just do What We want?

00:26:38: it's like No.

00:26:39: And then he says, do you not know that to whom You present Yourself's slaves to obey?

00:26:46: You are That One's slave Whom You Obey.

00:26:50: Whether of sin that leads To death or Of obedience leading to righteousness.

00:26:55: But God be thanked!

00:26:57: That though You were slaves of Sin Yet You obeyed from the heart That form of doctrine in which You Were delivered.

00:27:03: Having seen Having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

00:27:10: I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.

00:27:14: for just as You presented Your members as slaves of uncleanness and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness so now present Your members As slaves of righteousness.

00:27:26: For holiness!

00:27:28: For when You were slaves Of Sin?

00:27:30: You Were Free In regard To Righteousness.

00:27:32: What fruit did you have then of the things which are now ashamed?

00:27:36: For, The end of those things is death.

00:27:39: But having been set free from sin You've become slaves to God and You Have the Fruit To Holiness And End Is Everlasting Life!

00:27:56: And so he's saying, you know... You're obeying one thing or the other.

00:28:00: Your'e obeying ways of this world Or your'e obeying God.

00:28:03: But when you are obeying these ways then.. You know what?

00:28:07: You actually free of?

00:28:09: You're FREE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!

00:28:12: YOU CAN'T DO IT!

00:28:13: YOU CANT DO THE RIGHT THING BECAUSE YOU'RE A SLAVE TO THIS OTHER THING.

00:28:17: AND SO IF YOU WANNA BE FREE FROM THE SLAVERY OF YOUR SIN THEN YOU HAVE TO BECOME A SLAYVED TO GOD.

00:28:24: AND THEN THE IRONY OF THAT is that then you are free to obey Him.

00:28:30: You are free, to be righteous!

00:28:32: You're free from the hold that sin has on

00:28:36: you.".

00:28:38: John eight thirty-four to thirty six says Jesus answered them and said most assuredly I say to you whoever commits sin is a slave to sin...and a slave doesn't abide in the house forever but a son abides in the house forever.

00:28:57: Therefore if the sun makes you free, You should be free

00:29:01: indeed.".

00:29:02: So If we are slaves to God that is when we find real freedom.

00:29:10: and so instead of hiding And resisting whenever we're confronted with our sin We should confess and change our ways...we still might face consequences.

00:29:21: But it's not as if god doesn't know what we're doing anyway..so there's no point.

00:29:26: Hebrews four thirteen says there's no creature hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him.

00:29:35: To whom we must give account.

00:29:37: so God knows what We're doing.

00:29:38: There's No point in it And So we need to just go to Him and Confess.

00:29:42: Joel two twelve to thirteen Says turn to me with All your heart With fasting with weeping and with mourning.

00:29:53: Rend your heart in not-your garments.

00:29:55: Return to the Lord, your God for He is gracious and merciful slow to angry anger and great of kindness.

00:30:03: any relents from doing harm turn to god And you will get mercy.

00:30:09: You may not be free From Your consequences but at least they Will Be tempered In Mercy.

00:30:16: hiding from him is not going to remove our consequences.

00:30:20: And the irony of all it, Is that... The only way we'll find any kind of mercy for our consequences as by going to Him.

00:30:30: You know?

00:30:31: Hiding is doing exact opposite what were wanting and the only ways are remove our sins.

00:30:37: go to Him so He can take them away!

00:30:42: hiding from them, pretending that they don't exist doesn't do any good.

00:30:46: They do exist whether we acknowledge them or not and We can't get rid of themselves.

00:30:52: so we have to take him.

00:30:54: And so if we're truly repentant, If we really want to do different and we want our sins taken away from us.

00:31:04: We want the consequences to be merciful then we have to do opposite of hiding in resisting.

00:31:17: Proverbs twenty-eight, thirteen to fourteen says He who covers his sins will not prosper but whoever confesses and forsakes them Will have mercy.

00:31:27: That tells the complete opposite of what we might think.

00:31:32: Happy is man Who always reverent But he who hardens His heart will fall into calamity.

00:31:39: So don't turn away from God Don't resist Him.

00:31:45: Instead, take your sin to him because he's the only one that can get rid of it completely.

00:31:51: Acts three-nineteen says... If you take your sins to God and He takes them away from you, then You can be restored.

00:32:08: Then you will be refreshed than everything.

00:32:10: Your debt will be paid your sins will be wiped away And you can move on just like it happened for David.

00:32:17: This is the last verse that I'm going to read to you Psalm thirty two and It says blessed Is he whose transgression?

00:32:26: Is forgiven who sin is covered?

00:32:29: Well, that's what we wanted.

00:32:30: We want our sin covered right?

00:32:32: But listen to how he does it.

00:32:34: blessed is the man To whom The Lord Does not impute iniquity and whose spirit there Is no deceit.

00:32:40: when I kept silent my bones grew old through My groaning all day long for Day And night your hand was heavy on me.

00:32:48: My vitality Was turned into drought of summer.

00:32:52: It was That looming you know, darkness that was hovering over him.

00:32:59: God's heavy hand was on Him until He confessed and it says... For this cause everyone who is godly should pray to You in the time where It was such a relief.

00:33:26: You know, the heavy hand that was on me was gone and then I felt free.

00:33:33: God forgave my sins And i was able to walk away free and clean of them.

00:33:40: Then in verse seven it says you god are my hiding place?

00:33:45: You shall preserve Me from trouble!

00:33:48: You shall surround me with songs Of deliverance.

00:33:51: if you want To hide hide In Him.

00:33:54: If you want your sins covered, take them to him and let Him get rid of then.

00:33:59: This is the

00:33:59: way.".

00:34:01: And at the end this verse...this is God talking in.

00:34:05: He says I will instruct You & I'll teach You In The Way That You Should Go!

00:34:08: I Will Guide You With My Eye.

00:34:11: But Don't Be Like The Horse & Mule Which Have No Understanding & have To be Harnessed with Bit & Bridal Or Else.

00:34:20: They Won't Come Near You.

00:34:22: So It's like don't make me force YOU.

00:34:24: That's what he was trying to say.

00:34:26: He is like, I will guide you but need you listen!

00:34:29: If You Will Listen Then i'll teach you.

00:34:32: Many sorrows will be to the wicked But he who trusts The Lord Mercy shall surround him.

00:34:39: Be glad in The Lord and rejoice ye righteous And shout for joy.

00:34:44: Ye upright In

00:34:45: heart.".

00:34:47: So We can only be upright in heart if God cleanses our heart, If it is a repentant heart.

00:34:55: And so don't be that resistant child That one that lies and says you're not the kind of person who doesn't do those things You know?

00:35:06: we all have things We need to change.

00:35:10: and so if whether we are that person That says, you know i don't need god.

00:35:15: I don't Need a savior?

00:35:17: i'm just fine on my own i have uh You know the way that i want To live and i like it.

00:35:23: or if we're The kind of person that is obvious, you Know we were center in need Of a savior And we have committed our lives and made God our lord but We Just sometimes get off track either Way.

00:35:38: We need to remember that all God wants from us is come and say, I did something i shouldn't have done.

00:35:53: to damage my relationship with you.

00:35:56: And so I need you take this sin and put it away from me, and face whatever consequences that you have for me but pray she will give me mercy and do my best

00:36:11: differently.".

00:36:12: That's really all God wants us.

00:36:15: be that kind of person not the type of person that Jeroboam was.

00:36:20: let David your model.
